What is FLEET?
Responding to the loss of arts and culture hubs across Vancouver, FLEET is a multi-year project that is planning, designing, and constructing a FLEET of moveable studios for working artists. This project will place these studios on a temporary basis throughout the Lower Mainland and manage their ongoing use.
Collaborative work that led to the construction of the first two FLEET Studios included surveys and consultations within Vancouver arts and cultural communities including ongoing conversations with xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, səlilwətaɬ and Urban Indigenous artists, curators, and designers.
Construction of FLEET studios is currently underway on Granville Island. To stay updated about construction progress and programming, please sign up for the FLEET newsletter.
